Banner advertising

There are many advertising companies that will pay you to display banners and advertising content on your site. Some pay a flat rate. Some pay you everytime a visitor clicks on the banner, and some pay you when the visitor purchases from the displayed site.

Banner advertising is a double-edged sword. On the one hand you are making money from the advertising but, on the other hand, visitors are leaving your site and may not come back.

Affiliate Programs There are companies that manage your banner advertising programs. You can sign up with individual advertisers through the managing company, track activity, and receive monthly payments.
   

Be careful in choosing a banner advertising or affiliate management company. Pick companies that are reputable and pay promptly.

Companies usually have requirements before they will agree to advertise on your site.

 
  • Your web site must have its own domain name.
 
  • It should not reside on a free server.
 
  • Your site should receive a minimum number of visitors (5,000+)
 
  • Your content should not promote illegal activities.
 
  • Your content should be socially acceptable to your audience.
